Sound Acoustic Advice for The South Pole Saloon!

PF Events recently provided noise consultancy services for the award winning South Pole Saloon – a new venture from the teams behind Manchester’s Park Life Festival and Heartbreak Hotel – Mad Ferret Productions.

Last winter a covered rooftop in the heart of Brixton was transformed into a surreal Christmas spectacle like no other: The South Pole Saloon; a cosy and other worldly dive bar where the elves who have forsaken Father Christmas come out to play.
The 500 capacity venue was fully heated and covered, with every corner designed to cater to the whims of the most fantastical, playful and debaucherous guests.

As the contracted acoustic consultants we provided a range of services which included taking background noise measurements producing a noise management plan and liaising with the council to set noise limits. The aims were to minimise annoyance caused to residents and minimise complaints whilst allowing sound levels in venue to be high enough to allow the audience to fully enjoy the event.

As well as producing a Code of Practice for Noise During South Pole Saloon PF also produced an Acoustic structure method statement.

The event was licensed and a great success with no noise complaints. The team are planning a new pop up event this summer and we are certainly looking forward to helping the team out with noise management once again and wish them success in their new venture!
