Staging and Set hire is a core part of any event, we have stock sets or can produce specific items if need be, all our staging is steel deck and painted on a regular basis for the freshest look.

Our Lighting design team will come up with the best options for your events whilst keeping an eye on your budget. The technology involved in delivering video to events is constantly evolving, this means that we have to constantly update our stock of AV equipment, our HD Video stock is a reflection of this, along with the variety of screens and video production equipment that we can supply to your events.
We can supply all of our services separately or can build a package that most suites you and your events needs. Our kit can be dry hired on a business to business level or for guaranteed peace of mind our technicians and crew can set up and run it for you.

Our PA systems can cater for all sorts of events, be they a large scale festival to an intimate meeting, with systems from 300 watts to 210 k all aspects of live sound and DJ systems can be provided. We have a great relationship with the speaker manufacturers Noise Control Audio and carry stock from the manufacturers, XTA, BSS, DBX, Lexicon, Yamaha, Midas, Soundcraft, Allen and Heath, FFA, QSC, Shure and Sennhiser along with Nexo, JBL and Martin Audio.
Systems can be flown or ground stacked, with our long throw NCA systems ground stacking the PA can produce fantastic results that mean the expense of rigging towers is not necessary.
We have built stages in allsorts of venues from the most sensitive like The National Gallery and The Royal Courts of Justice to clubs and bars like Tiger Tiger and the Kentish Town Forum. All venues and events receive the same amount of care and attention to detail, CAD images can be produced for you and your clients on request. Tiered Rostra and seating for Orchestral and choir performances can be built along with
all manner of shapes and sizes of Stages, Press Platforms, Disabled Viewing Platforms and Catwalks.
Truss Ground support systems are a great way to enhance your stage and add rigging points to venues that don’t have any in-house. With several different systems in stock we can advice you on what best suits your event or venue.
Positive Fokus was started to provide Covered Stages and Live PA systems to festivals, since then we have evolved but we still love festival work and the personal rewards this work can bring. With a large selection of stages, Saddlespans, Air Domes and Oriental Clear Spans incorporated with our Steel Deck Staging, Festival Organizers and Production Managers can chose the staging system that is appropriate for their event, or for larger events incorporate all the stages into their event plan.

With video being such an integral part of events we have a high level of AV equipment in stock, Plasma Screens, Projectors, Screens and Playback. We offer pre and post event production facilities along with event filming. We can build screens into your stage set or produce full 360 degree images using the latest in video technology. Festival Cinema areas can be achieved during daylight hours using high powered projectors in black out tents.

The set design and build team here at PF have years of experience in building and installing set into many different venues around the world. We have a full workshop and can produce pretty much anything you want out of any kind of material you need it produced in.
We have a close relationship with a reclaimed wood yard, Lee Side Wood Recycling (link); this has enabled us to build set for events that have a great look and an ethical start in life. We have used Reclaimed Wood in projects for several clients including Glastonbury Festival, Microsoft and The Guardian.
Our large and ever growing database of freelance technicians and crew are available to venues and events that have their own equipment. We have a lot of Arts Centre clients that don’t have the budget to employ full time crew, by using PF crew these clients know that they will get well trained and experienced crew that have a full management structure making sure that the job goes to plan.
All crew will arrive on site in PF t-shirts, a Suite or blacks, have liability insurance and full health and safety training.
With more and more legislation concerning Noise at Work and Local Authority pressure on noise, producers have to be aware of their impact on the environment, event organizers and production managers need to have the knowledge to deal with the most stringent environmental health officers. The technology that is used within our audio systems can quickly alter the noise levels and even alter the direction of the noise being produced.
Our noise metering and analyzing service is not only aimed at the event industry but at the whole of industry. All employers and property occupants have to know what noise they are making and the impact that the noise they make has on their employees, visitors and neighbors. PF’s in-house sound consultants are trained to National Standards and we stock the latest in DB metering technologies. A full report of any findings will be collated and any planning and de-brief meetings will be attended.
