BBC chose PF Events as supplier for Radio 1 & 1Xtra Academy
PF Events were recently chosen by the BBC to supply all equipment and manage the technical aspects for Radio 1 & 1Xtra's Academy at Hackney Picturehouse. The Academy runs every day (except Sundays) from 1st June until 22nd June and is the BBC's biggest ever programme of social action and outreach. It will offer up to 10,000 young people across East London the chance to gain skills and experience and to be inspired by leading people in their industry.
Opening in the run up to Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend - the station’s biggest ever music festival - the Academy will feature a host of leading names from the worlds of music, business, film, radio, fashion, comedy, gaming and software and journalism. They will take part in a range of masterclasses, Q&As and panel sessions to explain how they have made it and to offer advice.
Confirmed names which will be taking part in the Academy include Leona Lewis, Plan B, Labrinth, Dizzee Rascal, Ashley Walters, Rizzle Kicks, Lethal B, Adam Deacon, Riz Ahmed, Paloma Faith, Fearne Cotton, Gemma Cairney, Trevor Nelson and many more.
PF Events are supplying all equipment which is required for all the masterclasses including video cameras, DJ kit, microphones, handheld recorders and laptops including specialist production software.
PF Events are also responsible for supplying audio and video equipment required for the Q&As and panel sessions taking place in two separate screens in the venue. PF will also be technically managing these sessions to ensure that they are delivered as smoothly as possible.
