PF help to make Shangri-La a Glastonbury Highlight
After a break in 2012, Glastonbury returned to the summer festival circuit this year, with some claiming that it was the best one yet. PF Events had a major part to play in that by technically producing the whole Shangri-La field.
2013 was the fifth Glastonbury in a row that PF had technically produced Shangri-La, with the theme and specs getting a complete revamp since 2011's festival. Punters were treated to three new venues at Shangri-La; Hell Stage, Heaven Lounge and Rocket Lounge.
The Hell Stage was the centre piece of the field and featured stunning pyrotechnics and big artists including Rudimental, Zane Lowe and DJ Yoda, with PF supplying all the audio, lighting and video for the stage. The PA consisted of an 8x stack Noise Control Audio system with full live band and DJ setup. PF supplied a visually impressive lighting rig which consisted of 28x intelligent moving head lights, some colour-changing LED wash lights and some generic white stage lighting. PF also supplied a 10.6K projector and 16ft x 9ft projection screen with switchable control which allowed VJ's to connect their media servers into for the visuals.
The Heaven Lounge featured live bands and DJ's across the weekend, with PF supplying a small d&b Q-Series line array system with live mic kit and DJ setup. The Rocket Lounge was much the same setup with a small d&b Q-Series system catering for both DJ's and live bands. PF also supplied a compact NCA PA system for the Gorilla Members Bar for DJ's and small bands.
